My Twelve Sentence Story: Louie

There was once a young horse called Louie. Louie had creamy, chocolate brown eyes. He had a black coat with a black mane and tail.

Louie lived in a clean, red stable with all the horses. The farmer looked after all the horses well and always changed his stall every week.

Louie's talent was that he could have any horse-rider riding him bareback. Even a high jump was easy. But one day he saw a jump that looked too high for him. Louie was scared. In the end, he felt brave enough and jumped the jump and... he made it!!!! So from then on, he had the courage to do the rest of the high jumps in the course.

My Twelve Sentence Story

At the start of Term 2, Room 10 had been learning to write 12  sentence story. Here is my 12 sentence story.

Once upon a time, there was a peach-coloured horse called Sunburst. Sunburst had twinkling chocolate brown eyes and a pale chest-nut colour mane and tail to match his kindness.

He lived in a clean red stable with all the other horses. The farmer looked after it well, especially when he first came here when he was a small pony.

His talent was that he could let anyone riding bear-back. Even the highest jump was easy for him.

But one day he saw this jump and it was the highest jump he'd ever seen and thought it was too high and scary. In the end, Sunburst just did it and.. he didn't knock it over!!!!!!

He came first place and was standing in the winners circle. Next time, I'll tell you about the championships.

N is for Nurses

The ANZACs called the nurses 'front line angels.' It took a long time for the nurses to carry a wounded soldier to the hospital because of the mud and cratered roads. To save time, they built some of the hospitals at the front line.

The nurses who worked in the hospitals were every bit as brave as the men. Their job was to save lives. Many soldiers owe their lives to the 'front line angels.'
