Room1's Maps

In Room1 lately in strand maths we have been making direction maps. The topic is Position and orientation where we have to use coordinates, directions and scales to find things.  We have to
rule lines, straight and even. Then draw numbers along the side and letters on the top and
write the title. After that we drew a draft picture of our island and put all ten things on it
and got it checked by Mrs Riley. We wrote the good copy on to our pieces of paper and put all the things on it. Then we colored it all in and wrote directions to go with it and then we will swap with a partner and your partner has to follow your instructions and sign there name. Our maps are not finished yet but we will finish them on Friday and put some more photos up for you to see.

  1. Great maps boys. Isn't it great learning about coordinates, directions and scales while at the same time having fun creating exciting maps. I used to love making treasure island maps when I was your age!
